Because You Aren't Autistic

Allistic privilege is not having your mother tell you crying that she knew you were going to be different and lonely and unaccepted from the time you went to kindergarten and declined playing House with a group of girls so that you could swing alone. Allistic privilege is not having your mother make up her mind that you were going to be a disappointment when you were five years old. Allistic privilege is not spending your entire life ashamed of wanting some time off from people.
